Kickoff your review of DanMachi, vol. six

I was planning to read each of the books in the series, simply later watching the anime (which covers the outset v volumes) I decided to just go ahead and skip to volume 6 since I was feeling impatient. This book was keen, and I see why some people say why the get-go five volumes are really just the commencement of this series. I retrieve the author himself says this in the afterward as well.

I was planning to read each of the books in the series, only after watching the anime (which covers the offset five volumes) I decided to just go alee and skip to book 6 since I was feeling impatient. This volume was great, and I meet why some people say why the first five volumes are really just the first of this series. I think the author himself says this in the afterward as well.

Personally, chapter 2 was my favorite past far, but chapter v was great likewise despite there being loads of action, but the quick viewpoint shifts kept me pretty engaged and the ending was pretty fun.

I oasis't said too much about the writing and obvious typos and such these books have had, merely some things were a bit annoying in their inconsistently. The first two chapters are almost entirely told from Bong's perspective, and they're in present tense. So the book goes into by tense, even when going back into Bell's point of view, which is odd. Another affair is that there's folio breaks in between viewpoint shifts for about of this book, merely in the later sections a lot of those folio breaks disappear and we're jumping effectually in peoples heads very often without much of an indication for the reader, which is a little confusing.

One last thing is that despite Bell getting the first 2 capacity primarily to himself, I wish there had been more scenes from his betoken of view. At times information technology seems similar we get every point of view that isn't Bong, and he's the master character.

Those issues aside, I rather enjoyed the story, and story wise, I give this volume five stars.

Certainly the all-time of the mainline novels thus far. Large things happen in this book. Bigger than the other volumes. Non just to Bell but the people effectually him. I can't talk about it too specifically without spoiling things. I know there is a spoiler tag, only that would cover pretty much everything.

Certainly the all-time of the mainline novels thus far. Big things happen in this book. Bigger than the other volumes. Non just to Bell but the people around him. I tin can't talk about it likewise specifically without spoiling things. I know there is a spoiler tag, but that would cover pretty much everything.

There are some actually great character moments, some really fantastic familia moments, and some really large happenstance in this ane. Ahh, I am sitting here wanting to tell you lot all about it but too fighting myself belongings back so as to not tell you what actually happens. Just know it's worth reading.

Verdict: The beginning v volumes are adept and requite you a solid introduction to the characters and world... but if you felt like the serial hadn't actually gotten very far -- read on since this ane kicks it into high gear!

At the terminate of volume five of this serial, the god Apollo was doing some creepy planning for something about Bell Cranell, and in this volume we find out just what that is. At the end of volume v of this series, the god Apollo was doing some creepy planning for something about Bell Cranell, and in this book we find out simply what that is. He wants Bell for his own, and to that terminate, sets up our young adventurer so that he tin lay claim to him in a War Game. Of class, Hestia refuses, as she is outmatched literally a 100 to 1.

The thing is that Apollo is not a nice god, and has no notion of restraint when he wants something. He will exercise what he has to practise to get his centre'due south desire. Even if it means engaging in some pretty vile actions. To this end, he relentlessly chases down and tries to harm Bell and Hestia, until Hestia relents and challenges him to a War Game. Thrilled at his inevitable (to him) victory, Apollo doesn't realize he will really regret his choices.

This book is the first to tell the story beyond the xiii episode anime accommodation, which covered the first v books of the serial. Here we come across what could exist seen equally the outset "arc" (the founding and expansion of Hestia Familia) completed after vi books.

I tin can't get into much more of what I mean without major spoilers, but it's really cool.

This is the most action-packed story and so far in the series, even more so than book v. From most a third of the way through onward, the activeness just doesn't stop for more than a brusk and brief period of fourth dimension. Literally half the book is fight sequences. They are really well-written to the point that I could fly through them, when normally I don't like uninterrupted action scenes.

The furthering of the mythology of the story, with subtle hints hither and in that location, was likewise neat, was was the clear fleshing out of Bong's and Aiz's growing relationship and the realization of the tensions information technology can cause between their Familias.

Really, other than making things a bit too pat and easy by creating an easy enemy to blame in Lilly's office of the story, there isn't anything I can complain about when it comes to volume six of Is It Wrong to Attempt to Choice Upwards Girls in a Dungeon. The bandage of characters that aid Hestia, Welf, and Lilly are fun to see come together for a mutual purpose. I can't say anything beyond that vagueness without giving away the plot, but it's really fun to read, because it shows united states of america more than facets to the characters, god and follower both.

Highly Recommended for fans of this series or fantasy in general.

The story is starting to really take off.

This story was very intense. There was action around every corner. This is the showtime book the really takes place outside the dungeon. I personally like it. I promise it is a sign of what is to come because it means a expanded view of the globe. I want to see how far Bell can become. The family is finally growing in more ways then one. While I cannot expect for the next one I have to.

Good story.

Very expert sequence on the series. Character progress is great and I like the manner the've been evolving. Also I like the way the author didn't waste material time to extend the story and brand this ane very dynamic.

Non i human foot is placed inside the dungeon this volume but that doesn't get in a filler or a boring volume considering while we don't fight against monsters we get dandy fights against a dissimilar familia.

Too peachy pacing we also get some more time with the other characters. Lily, Welf and Mikoto to proper name the big ones. While I actually like Bell as a character it is e'er squeamish to become to know what really drives the other characters adventuring forth side Bell.

All in all 5 stars from me and set up to commencement the next i!

This story was epic. It was easily the best story even so. I would requite information technology 6 stars if I could. So much happens. Bell and Aiz dancing was awesome. Bell and Hestia being chased through the boondocks and attacked past over 100 people was astonishing. Then Hestia's familia grew considerably and Lily was freed from her familia. Oh human the story was full of activity.

Very much worth reading, but...

I am enamored with the plot and characters, really loving information technology. The depictions of dialogue and action read quite a bit like a fan-fiction though. Not sure if that is due to translation, an aspect of the lite-novel genre (it is my first fourth dimension reading ane), or what. Descriptions and inner monologue practise not suffer from the same upshot, all the same. If I could rate aspects individually, I'd give the plot and characterization 5'due south, and dialogue and action writing maybe 3'due south. T

Did a neat job building relationship between characters in the past volumes, it actually makes it worth hardships that we lived with Bell and Hestia Familia facing it with never giving up to it, I actually think that choosing to build upward the story for the past five volumes really makes the critical moments that I live in this book surprisingly Efficient on me while remembering all the hardships that they have faced until now.

Coming from the much faster paced anime, I didnt care for a lot of the backlog details or people excessively praising Bong or how he was easily incited to a bar brawl or things similar them going out drinking alcohol to celebrate. It felt slow and tiresome in the city whereas I prefer the dungeon and monster battles.

WOW!

i commonly dont read books, but as i watched the anime i got curious. Reading through this Novel fabricated me realise how much more than particular and passion these novels had. I was so into the story i didnt realise i had just finished the book.

This book finally takes us across the point of the anime series. And it's fantastic. There are however elements of the harem comedy about information technology, but the women really get a gamble to smooth in their own right. Thrilling!

Past far in many ways my favorite book so far! It took me back to when i outset watched the thirteenth warrior. With the gathering of the members. The fighting was on a new level from anything previously read in the series. I pray the anime lives up to this book.

Equally with all master series danmachi books, it's a fairly easy read, until I stumble into a graphic symbol or scene that infuriates me and I have to stop reading for a calendar month or risk throwing my reader at a wall. Every bit with all primary serial danmachi books, information technology's a fairly like shooting fish in a barrel read, until I stumble into a character or scene that infuriates me and I have to stop reading for a calendar month or hazard throwing my reader at a wall. And aye, it'south a drug, call it what information technology is instead of trying to weasel out of information technology.
Should I comment on the main antagonist? Meliorate not, at least he is condemned by the story itself, explicitly.

Writing is better than e'er. I believe even the writer must have noticed how much worse the first pov sections were, because at present they are nigh absent. A change for the better. The plot seems more than soloid and I like the build ups. Shame virtually the inherent unfairness of the setting.

This is the starting time Novel that is subsequently the anime series ended.
Where equally the last 5 books have introduced one graphic symbol per adventure and slowly built upwards the group this story has them working as a team in an ballsy battle which doesn't even touch the dungeon!

Very fun read... Enjoyed!

This series is getting exponentially ameliorate. The writer (translator?) even so has a very odd structure when explaining who is speaking. This series is getting exponentially better. The author (translator?) still has a very odd construction when explaining who is speaking. It tends to give yous untagged speech, then a paragraph describing the actions taking place around the voice communication, then show who spoke during that paragraph. It'due south very odd but when you get used to information technology it'south non a large deal.

Other than that, the activity is fantastic, the characters are growing. The fan service stuff has been timed way down here. Characters are starting to empathize each other, and you see some satisfying conclusions to modest plot threads weaving throughout the first 5 books. The end of this volume feels like it marks a true beginning of chapter i for the series and the end of the introduction, and the afterword by the writer makes clear this is accurate. Practiced stuff.

For those interested, this novel picks upwardly immediately at the cease of the first (only one right now) anime flavor and goes direct from at that place. You lot could skip the first 5 books, watch the show, and exist fine. But the first v books are quite enjoyable.

Just wow.

This is the beginning book after the anime series (season 1, anyhow) ends and information technology is spectacular! I only couldn't put it down as I wondered what was going to happen next! Between the obvious "can't wait to meet what happens" to the "what are they going to do about that???" I just could not stop.

Well written, great pace, fantastic story, twists, turns, back story, and developments I just did not see coming (and a few I did). An amazing read!
